I guess there is a a whole slew of us with that experience. I can only offer that, in my experience, it got better once the kids went to school and didn't need looking after full-time. I don't know why I didn't pick up on this post before know because it represents my wife's attitude exactly.

Tradionally she's reserved rather than prudish although always liked dressing nicely and posing for the camera. She'd go topless on the beach but this faded a bit as the kids got older. When they grew up and we went away together she loosened up a little. We had been on beaches that permitted nudity before but I took her to a busy beach where absolutley everyone was naked so you got stared at if you were dressed.
