Fond memories of dating...

This last weekend, we visited my wife's younger sister and over wine that night we began to tell some stories of life on their family farm back in the sixties. The sister told everyone that my wife --then girlfriend---and I embarassed her and their first cousin one Sunday afternoon. The girls had their boyfriends over, all were in high school, and were laying out sunbathing in the backyard, knowing their parents were away for the day at a funeral. The girls had on conservative 2 piece bathing suits.

My wife and I were inside getting ready to join them in the yard, but my wife didn't want to wear her old suit which was very conservative because the tan lines would look funny with her new brief bikini she had left at college. She knew her parents would not let her wear it if they saw it.

I suggested since it was just the six of us, she should go topless and roll the top of her two piece bottom down well below her belly button, more like her new suit. She thought that would be risky around her sister, cousin and their boyfriends, but she agreed. We walked out the back door and her sister went ballistic! She was shocked to see her topless, partly because my wife had a great figure---or at least great compared to her sister, and partly because the two boys could not stop staring.

After a moment, we said screw you, and we left to go out into the farm fields behind the house. We screwed on the tractor---it seemed like a great idea at the time and my wife laid out nude on a towel. After an hour or so, we decided to go back to the house and she started to put the bottoms back on and I stopped her. Since her sister had such a fit with her topless, how would she react if she were fully nude?

I walked ahead and told her sister we had to go in the back door because the front door was locked, but my wife had a towel. Her sister said thank heavens, and just then my wife walked around the corner of the house fully nude, carrying the towel and her bathing suit bottoms in her hand, off to her side. The boys nearly fell out of their chairs and her sister and cousin were speechless. She explained that she did not mean to be a tease walking around only topless earlier, so she decided it was only fair to let them see her nude. It may have been the first time these boys had seen a girl's secret triangle, and they could not blink. We walked inside, giving the boys a good look at her ass as she walked up the steps onto the back porch. We went inside and had some more fun.

That was 44 years ago, and we had forgotten it, but her sister hadn't.

The following photo shows her wearing the bottom half of the conservative bathing suit. I don't think it was taken on the same weekend, but the prior summer, so she would have been 19 or maybe 20 when this was taken. Please note the absolute lack of any sagging--they were delightful cones, similar to the "bullet" bras of the 1950's. We started dating when she was 18.

The ladies always thought we were being perfect gentlemen opening the car doors for them, but we know the real reason. And they enjoyed giving us a peak at potential pleasures.

I remember all the girls I dated in high school(in the 1960's) wore the same, nearly identical underwear, almost like a uniform. A white bra, either white briefs or bikini briefs, a white garter belt, stockings and typically a white half slip was the norm.

One girl I dated wore two pairs of panties--conservative white cotton briefs---because her mother thought that one pair might be too see through. A cousin of my wife's wore two pair, and her mother inspected her panties after every date to make sure she was not misbehaving.

The dawn of the pantyhose era, circa 1968, caused nothing but trouble. That's a not-so-fond memory of mine. While the skirts were delighffully short back then, pantyhose was nothing but an obstruction! Even the door-opening peek was blurred, as I recall. And for some of the ladies putting them back on, well it sort of reminded me of those National Geographic films of walruses getting back onto shore from the ocean. They never were able to slip them on (or off) too easily or gracefully. On the other hand, I did gain a new appreciation of thigh highs........

Back in our dating days, cars had nice large bench seats---not these separated buckets like they have today with consoles in between. Those bench seats were great for lots of things, including having your date sit close beside you. Some guys liked to drive with their right arm around their girl, holding them close. I prefered to keep my right hand between her thighs when we drove around. Here is why:

Back in the sixties, it seemed every girl wore the same underwear as I mentioned earlier. The white bra, either briefs or bikini panties, and since they were now big girls, they wore stockings and a garter belt. Most wore half slips, too.

As hard as it is to believe today, in the sixties, girls had to wear a dress or a skirt every day to school---no jeans, no shorts. I loved it.

In the sixties, one of the style trends was shapeless sheath dresses we all called sack dresses. Most guys didn't like them because they hid the girls' shapes but I loved them. When out on your date, you could push up the dress, slide the panties off, and push the bra, slip and dress up under her armpits,giving you complete access to the fun parts.

When I was younger, the girls wore "short shorts" long before they started wearing longer Bermuda shorts. These short shorts were REALLY short and made the girls' legs look very long and shapely.

My girlfriend had several pairs of very short shorts and wore them frequently. When we both went to college, she got the usual assortment of sweat shirts with various school emblems for her school, mine and others. She even had one that said "Harvard" for some reason.

Wearing the short shorts under the large loose hanging sweat shirts made it look like she was not wearing anything underneath, and soon she did just that going nude under the sweat shirts. It was exciting going grocery shopping or to a baseball game knowing that the sweat shirt came down just an inch or less below her pussy or shapely ass, and that if she bent over or lifted her arms, everything would show. Just to confuse my friends, she would sometimes wear dark colored short shorts that made it look like you were getting a glance at her pussy, or occasionally she would just wear bikini panties that were usually see through---you never knew unless she showed you or you accidently got a peek.
