Back in the 70's before the Yuppies took over the Grove and filled it with boutique shops and sidewalk cafe's, there were a few clothing stores and head shops that me and friends used to shop at and hang out in.

One particular clothing store known for very inexpensive brand cloths was a regular hangout for us. There were about 4-5 dressing rooms to the back.
