At the top of each story, above the title, are several small boxes. Click the one labelled "Watch," and this will add the story to your personal watchlist. It isn't quite as useful as writing.com, but it will allow you to go to the recent changes page, from the tab on the left side of the page, and see any changes or additions to any story you are watching.

Fair enough. I just wanted to clarify that because the setting may not be to everyone's tastes, not because your tastes wouldn't be feasible.

In any case, I suppose there's no harm in posting the link to the forum here? It has been dead for some time, and there's going to be overhaul to the way things are done when/if enough interest gets drummed up to revive it, but there's no better way to get the word out, is there?

I can't post the url, but just do a google search for "Enferia Adventures" and it will be the very first result.

These are the three I still check up on occasionally, but they seem pretty much dead. Just wondering if everyone moved on to different sites or something.

In case any of you haven't checked chyoa.com in a while, they just updated the site to add more features. I'm not a fan of how they changed the way you access new chapters in your favorited story list or that they made it harder for you to see any comments made on your chapters. However, the site seems sleeker. It'll take some getting used to.

The one change to note here is that they now allow you to bookmark individual chapters, which uses the icon that was originally used to favorite a story.

So, now if you want to favorite a story so you can get notifications of when it gets updated, you now have to click the STAR ICON next to the bookmark icon at the bottom of the page.

Heya. We could, in fact, use some new blood over at the Enferia role-play forum. I'd say things have been resurrected pretty well -- the board is up and moving around again, so to speak. But some new names would be ideal. It is medieval-fantasy based in a setting of me and others' creation, which is part of the appeal. Some things about the world have been established, but there's basically little to no limit on the types of characters we can have or realms they're from.

The main part of the board features gladiator-style stripping combat, at the end of which the winner further humiliates the loser, much like in the story series I posted here a long time ago:

The forum also features more classic fantasy adventures, all pretty much focused on getting the characters naked while they try to achieve a goal (which often includes getting other ladies naked, haha). I know my decision to erase 'Nothing to Hide' off of writing.com upset a lot of people, myself largely included. This also made showed how unreliable I am. But, There's a definite gap or hole in ENF style fiction right now. Do people think that another writing.com like writing.com would be a worthwhile project, or is writing.com pretty much abandoned? If people are down mention it here. If someone else wants to start the project so I won't have run of it (or the ability to hastily delete it) comment here, or just start it, whatever!

I think if you were to do it, the best way would be to use chyoa.com. It's the most user friendly site. It's free, you can add as many different branches getting a single cashier as you want. You can choose to have chapters be added automatically or if you want to moderate the new chapters so nothing like mrwoodson happens. The only barrier to entry is having an admin approve your story, which is easy if you post at least two chapters of actual story, and not just options or background.

Writing.com is fine, but the structure of our now feels more restrictive of the creative process. Chyoa.com gives everyone more freedom. You can even give other users the ability to moderate your stories so it doesn't have to fall on you to approve everything.

I'd love to see you resurrect "Nothing to Hide" and start again. Writing.com is fine. The problem wasn't with that site so much as your hasty decision to chuck it all in. People are used to going there and using it. There are thousands of members that can add their input already in place as well as those who follow you here and at ASN. All of the alternative places require some learning how to navigate or require pre-approval (delaying chapter additions which may or may not be a good thing.) I guess what I am saying is that so far there is no one perfect place as each of the alternatives mentioned have good and bad points. Writing.com is a known factor and people use it and there is steady traffic.

I for one would love to see you start the story again as if it were never published using the same premise and use your creativity to get it started and see where it goes. The best part of the original story was that you started story ideas and others rounded things out. The HUGE number of chapters tells me that you were doing something right.

If you DO decide to do this again you MUST make a mental decision that once you start the story will be out there forever. Hands off - leave it alone. No offense but if you can do that we all win. How about a nice Christmas present for us fans - announce you'll take up the story again.
