Mcaffee is no good, even the person that made it has said as much.

I'd recommend the free version of Avast, combined with uBlock origin and EFF privacy badger. Will leave you well protected.

Default Idea

If you are using the browser add on or extension try whitelisting the website.

Default Site Advisor

You are all talking as if McAfee is the name of the product, so it does make for confused reading.

So I am assuming that you are using more than McAfee AntiVirus and are using one of their Internet Suite Utilites.
If you are, then "Site Advisor" is your problem. This is an "add-on" and to say it is a problem is actually an understatement. It not only blocks a lot of sites/stuff it is not supposed to. You will also find it slows down your internet brower and you computer too.
If you do a few "googles" you will find that many are now counting it in with the same stuff it is supposed to be stopping.
It is not a firewall nor and anti-viris and is best removed.
As I said you don't have to take my word for it. You should see it for yourself, or google the information independently.

Hope that helps
