- As the members will have already noticed; when the new site was being rebuilt, it quickly became apparent that restocking over seven years of content was both impractical, and would take away from the ability to produce and release new content. So a change was made to the videos section. The new site will have the previous six months of content available along with all new releases, but the members will still have access to the older content, and will be able to access everything produced by DFP since 2009. There is a request ability on the video page, and on the 1st of each month, the six most requested videos from the older catalogue will be posted and available during the following month. So the older content will be available on a revolving basis as requested by the members themselves.
- The membership site was never intended to be the primary source for DFP videos, and was only built as a service to fans that simply couldn’t afford to buy the videos one at a time. Because of ongoing issues with piracy, site rippers, and other scammers who would happily see DFP go bankrupt so long as they get what they want, it has been decided that the membership site will be limited to 300 subscriptions. The way it will work will be that when we cross that 300 member limit, the new subscription link to CCBill will be shut down. The existing subscribers won’t be affected by this of course, and if the number of members drops back below 300, the subscription link will be reactivated for new members. When the subscription link is turned off, and turned back on, it will be announced along with the next update so anyone interested will know when they can sign up.
