Reminds me of something that happened to me many years ago. I friend/co=worker (female) who was always acting competitive kept telling me she wanted to play poker with the guys from work. We got together once a week and played penny ante poker, acts socially unacceptable, and told lies to each other.

We quite honestly just didn't want a woman in the middle of our poker game. I finally told her that she wouldn't enjoy it, and she responded by saying I was just afraid that she didn't know how to play and that she wanted to prove to me that she could.. She harangued me about that until I finally said one afternoon that while that wasn't the problem, we could play a hand so she could prove she knew how to play.

We played and I forgot to have a bad time. She was really pretty good. After a few hands I told her we needed to either wait or play strip poker. I was just joking. She dealt the cards and said, "OK, shoelaces don't count as an item, OK?"

She had played this before, it seemed! She was quite good but it was also fairly obvious that she was not going to get naked. Every time she lost a hand she would say, " Just one more then we have to quit."
