I have to say I'm amazed with the results and level of detail that you are able to extract.

Is this at all possible with Photoshop? I've in the past been able to x-ray photos with Photoshop, is it a similar technique if you know how to x-ray?

I need to brush up on my xray technique. I used bridge to grab that thumbnail.
