Having used both I will probably stick with the basic for most of my needs, but I can appreciate how a lot of people will like the newer one.

I haven't really noticed if there is a speed difference or not, although since I have a 100mb+ connection I am probably not really going to notice a huge difference.

The reason I will probably stick with the older version is due to having to drill through my file structure to find what I am posting.

I tend to open the basic file up loader, but not use its browse button. I then open up my file manager, go to the files I want and highlight all of them. I then drag that over to the basic up loader and it uploads all 10 in one go. I do not seem to be able to drag and drop with the new up loader, so it is actually slightly slower for me than the basic one.

Having said that, keep up the good work guys. It is always good to see sites investing time and effort on improvements.

No issues here.

Faster upload for some reason, and easier to select multiple files.

The 10 limit is still good, it would ruin the concept if that were changed.

It doesn't "hold" the folder you're working from. I clicked my way down to the folder and uploaded this week's pics to the ENF section, but when I went to upload the trailer in the sexy videos section I had to drill down again. The basic uploader kept you in the folder you were working from, so I have to toss a point to tradition.

Seeing the thumbnail files in the uploader window is nice, but it seems a little redundant due to the 15-minute window for editing the post.

I'd say the faster speed, or at least its appearance, in the new uploader makes up for any tiny perceived flaws. I'd give it a solid "A".
that seems to be my only problem to the drilling

I'm guessing it's an Adobe Flash issue that we may not have control over, but I'll look into this.

Thanks for the feedback,

I had a strange issue when trying both upload managers just now while posting pics in the following link

https://forum.oneclickchicks.com/show...&postcount=662

1: When the pics were downloaded they were all in uppercase. The advanced file manager was not able to recognise .JPG extensions. With the browse button open if I renamed the file to .jpg I could see the browsed folder populating with the file the second I renamed it.

2: With the extension now renamed to .jpg I uploaded but got an error message. This seems to be a result of the original file names not being in English. I renamed the files to 1, 2, 3, etc and they uploaded without issue.

For reference one of the original file names was: ИГОРЬ+ГРЕЙС+2012+БАЛАКЛАВА+ТАРХАНКУТ+(82) (copy).JPG

The files opened without issue on my system. For reference, I am using Linux but I do not think that was the issue as I have always been using it since I joined the site and have not had any issues before now.

It is worth noting that of the 5 or so files I uploaded, only two were recognised using the basic manager. All were recognised after a full renaming. The basic manager did not distinguish between .JPG and .jpg

it is nice to upload multiple images from the computer but the old version allowed upload from url....the new one doesnt?
being able to paste a list of 10 urls at once would be a nice feature..

I just used the advanced version for the first time. I selected 8 files from my browser window to upload using the 'ctrl' key and 'click' method. I like the ability to select multiple files BUT it posted the last selected file first and the remaining files in order. Is this normal? Is it something I can control, possibly re-organize after the post in 'edit'?

This may be an odd question, but due to the differences between the basic and advanced uploaders I'm not sure:

The basic uploader had ten slots to select files, but the advanced version just has you control/click to select the files you want to upload. So is the advanced uploader still limited to 10 files at a time?

I ask because this Friday's update will have the usual 10 screencaps, but there are also 6 "bonus" images. In the past that would make for two separate posts, but I'm wondering if it can be done as one now, or am I gonna lock uo the process somehow?

Glad I asked.
