EUF: Cowgirls in their underwear

Anyone remember the ad campaign Jockey Underwear mounted in the mid '90's, that featured "real people" instead of models? When this ad came out, they did interviews with the girls, and one of them (either the girl in the denim jacket, or the one in the black hat) told the story of how embarrassing the photo shoot was. None of them had ever done any modeling before, and they didn't know what to expect. After getting all "duded up" in their cowgirl clothes, they walked out in front of the cameras (and a room full of people), and the photographer bluntly told them to drop their pants. In fact, if you look closely at the photo, you can see that a few of the girls seem to be blushing (at least, you can see it in the actual ad. These photos aren't the best quality). She went on to describe further embarrassment when she went back home. Living and working in a small town, she made comments about how now, everyone she knows has seen her in her underwear. A very good, REAL EUF interview. I don't suppose anyone has it, or has some more stills/info? I know they're out there-there was a virtual media blitz at the time.

I thought this was lost, forever. It's a photo of a photocopy I made in the 1990's. There were at least three television appearances made by these girls at the time. One was a full 30 minute segment on a fashion show called Mainfloor. Another was a live interview on a daytime talk show (it may have been Oprah). The most amazing part is that these girls walked out in front of a live studio audience in their underwear, and then sat down for a full interview with the host! It was a genuine public EUF (especially the girl in the black hat). I've been searching for these clips for decades, but I've never been able to find them. Does anyone remember this, or even better, have the clips?

I'm still not sure if the quoted girl in the black hat is the one wearing the denim jacket, or the one with the tattoo on her shoulder. During the interviews, I believe both girls were wearing black hats. In the original ad, the girl in the denim jacket was wearing a very early version of a thong, but in all of her live appearances she was wearing bikini panties (as can be seen in the photocopy). Another interesting detail; the "Cowgirls" photo shoot was done on the same day as the "Doctors" photo shoot. According to an interview with the girls, the (all male) doctors were present during their entire shoot, and this added to their embarrassment. It seems the girls had teased and joked with the doctors during their photo session, and the doctors repaid the favor.

Kind of on topic....Jockey tried using real people in commercials again a few years ago. I remembered seeing this cute firefighter chick telling her story.

But then they strip her down to her skivvies and have her dance around a bit. And she is a very poor dancer and it's pretty awkward. That's the type of stuff that keeps you awake at night 10 years from now

I do remember this. Not the interview but the ad campaign.

I remember they also had a Jockey pantyhose/stocking campaign that always caught my attention.

The below image is one that featured stockbrokers.

Something about this always struck a cord-- the thought of these lovely ladies walking around the office skirtless in public just did it for me. Of course, the idea of seeing it live was beyond my imagination...that is until I discovered the wonderful world of Japanese porn...

I always wondered what happened to these models-- who supposedly really worked on Wall Street... my favorite is the 4th girl from the left in gray...great legs...

You may find this interesting. This is some of my correspondence with Jockey International regarding the Let 'Em Know You're Jockey ad campaign (yes, companies, movie studios and celebrities would actually answer people's crackpot letters in those days). In it, they give some details about the models (and they mention the Wall Street ad). The model named Brook is the short haired girl in the denim jacket. Jockey also sent me a grab bag of poster sized ads from the campaign, so I have gigantic versions of all the ads, still rolled up in a tube. The only one that comes close to the Cowgirls is the Florists (last photo).

Pretty common back in the pre-internet days. They used to have publicity departments to handle this sort of thing. You could also get personal letters from celebrities (especially the B actresses). They were happy to answer their fans, and you didn't have to pay for autographs in those days.

just a follow up if anyone is interested--

I did come across live action material of ordinary girls nude and in lingerie in a public setting from some Japanese material--the clip on youtube is actually the one I ripped years ago and posted somewhere that someone found.

ROD-005 from Soft On Demand UPC 4971218709534 #01A6107. It was released some 20 years ago. It takes place in a Japanese DMV office. It's a multi angle DVD-- meaning there's common scenes that were all filmed the exact same way...clothed, pantyhose/underwear, and nude. You just press the angle button on your remote to switch between the views. These common scenes all tied in to the typical porn scenes which you couldn't change. As far as I know, there were only two of these available but I'm not 100% sure about that. The other was ROD-004 which takes place in a hospital with nurses. UPC 4971218709213,
