my rant

i post for myself to share what i have
i don't want a whole lot of praise or anything
but i do put in alot of time trying to make good posts
it is very frustrating not getting any or very few comments
even negative comments help with what i post in the future
i go sometimes months in between posts although i visit almost daily
it just doesn't seem worth the effort if no one appreciates what i post
i can email to the one or two that do and it would be a lot easier
maybe some you will be a little demonstrative in the future
the pics i post i already have and can enjoy
you lose i don't
and i feel i have posted enuff in the past i can lurk for a cpl of years
before i need to feel guilty about not posting
i do comment on posts i think are exceptional or to encourage new posters
but the reaction to my posts cause my feelings to be negative a lot of the time
and i will not post negative comments even though i get tired of seeing bad posts
and reposts of things that were posted a year or two ago
hint to newbies
go back and go thru the old posts
i do it once or twice a year and find new stuff that somhow i missed or overlooked the first time

Don't let the lack of responses get to you. I'm one of those that looks at every thread, enjoys the vast majority of them, but don't post responses very often. It doesn't mean I don't appreciate the posts, I do, it just means that I don't see how me adding, "Woot....great post!" adds anything to the thread since usually the posts speak for themselves (positively).

Keep on posting......I'm sure we all love them and wouldn't want you to stop. But remember, silence doesn't equal people not liking your posts. In fact, maybe their hands are too busy to type anything.

its not that i so much want people to say hey great pics
i post mostly mixes of pics along a theme
its more like feedback to say
i like girls on blue couches , or i like earth mother types
or girls with long straight black hair or short curly blonde hair
or girls by a fireplace really turn me off or girls with thier tongue stuck are ugly
after several comments after several posts i can tailor my posts to the viewers
instead of wondering if i'm wasting my time just posting things
after 50 or 60 pics in a thread and i get a great post
did i finally stumble across someone that someone liked
how about the rest of the pics?
and too it gives me insight into the the peoples on board persona
like now when i see greygoose i'll pay a little closer attention to what you post or comment on
i don't comment very much either but try to the ones i think deserve it or who impress me

sometimes you never hear from people until you say something like "I'll be taking a few months off now". Then suddenly you find out who's really been following your threads regularly.

Your posts are always of interest to me because I know the type of surfing you do, and there is always a good chance that they contain hidden treasures. it should also be of interest to everyone that you take requests and will post on a specific topic if asked.

I gnash my teeth sometimes if no one responds to one of my threads. Like me, you know what its like to see other's reposts get rave reviews, time and time again You know - those pics that are still getting "WOW, great post!" on their fourth or fifth time around. So just keep doin' what you are doing, mcp1275. I still remember that great retro thread you posted once that had me shaking my head in disbelief. You're not afraid to take chances and thats the way to post, IMHO. Thanks for all you do, and I would really miss your posts should you get fed up and leave OCC. Who else is going to post rock musicians with their pants down in the woods??

your responses have been what i would like to hear
that is why when i'm surfing i always keep an eye out for things you would enjoy
alot of times i see a pic and you come to mind
if others responded with more than just good pic
i'm sure a lot of us that surf a lot would keep that person in mind
when we see something they might enjoy
even if we don't
and i'll never leave occ think its the greatest sight ever
i just tend to post in spurts and quite frankly after i post a lot
and get little feedback just don't feel as much like it
and i know you know the hassle in posting a lot

When I first started seeing your posts appear on Sunday, I remember thinking to myself:
"Wow, where does he FIND all those photos?"
"Wow, he must have a huge hard drive!"
"Wow, he's got all the sets grouped with special themes and categories!!"
"Wow, that must have taken a lot of thought and time to organize, upload and post!!!"

Yet I never posted a wow or thank you, probably because I didn't know to which thread I should reply. There must have been several dozen, and maybe I thought it might just get lost. There isn't a "reply to all threads by the poster" button. Ha ha. Dunno. Maybe we all have too much holiday stress and other distractions right now to take the time to say a simple thanks.

Nevertheless, in addition to all the Wows above, I concur with Klondike and greygoose.

i happen to think your stuff is great, buddy. i also agree that it can be frustrating to do a lot of posting and get very few replies but like you said we post because we want to. that being said i have had to back off from posting sometimes (posting in spurts, i think you called it). seems a coincidence that just as i was getting ready to start again you came along with a flood of great material.

as far as replies go, the passes for the masses site has a feature called a thanks button. if you like a post but don't have anything substantial to say you just click the button. the thread doesn't get cluttered up with a lot of "thx" or "nice pics, man"s. at the bottom of the thread appear the names of all the people who said "thanks". i don't know if that feature would work here but it seems like the best of both worlds to me. maybe admin could look into it. of course there's also a poster there(forget his name at the moment) whose signature says something like "don't feel you have to thank me, just download and enjoy". i'm going to try to keep that attitude here.

now that i'm ready to post. should i start a new group sex thread or do you want me to add to yours?

rk anywhere would have been fine but i would suggest doing it on one
where you enjoy a particular type of post
then i could look for more of the same when i'm out surfing
and that redheaded milf you want her having sex or just sitting there
cause strangely enuff i probably have one somewhere
i have about 500 discs with pics and movies on
i have 6 boxes of floppy discs with pics on and my computer doesn't even have a floppy disc drive
some day i'm gonna try to organize on dvd-r in case you'ree wondering in my early 50's
and totally disabled and have nothing to do but surf for the thing i like best women
