I agree, in the context of the movie it isn't a pleasant scene.
But once again, in case anyone here starts thinking that I'm sadistic or ghoulish,
it's the constructed setting, the directorial choices & mainly the performance of the ACTRESS that interests me,
NOT the implied situation of the CHARACTER.

It takes a great amount of bravery, focus & inner strength to perform those kinds of scenes, especially with so many production people all around them on set watching every move.
