These key fob, or imitation IPOD or Desk Clock Cameras are all the same. You can put a giant memory card but most shut off after 45 minutes to an hour. I just bought the IPOD one, and it looks like the ipod, but the memory card sticks out! so you can see it and then it gives it away. The clock version looks good, has a remote and a huge battery. BUT it shoots at an upward angle, so if you put it on a table top in an 8' room you will see everything waist up to the ceiling.

I know what you mean. I was having the same problem when trying to position a cell phone. I have a great shot of the ceiling when I hid a video camera in the closet. I had it positioned, and then I second guessed myself and moved it. The key fob camera is much easier to position once you play with it. It is difficult to use in motion because it is such a wide angle, but small lens, so you have to pretty much set it out or Velcro it under or on something. My latest trick was to purchase a small wire mesh pencil holder to put my wallet and keys in. It is sitting on my bathroom vanity. It isn't ideal taking video through the mesh, but it is pretty good. My goal is to get her used to seeing my keys in the bathroom and to think nothing of it. Eventually the basket will be holding other junk that will make it so my keys rest on top, giving me a full view.

I also told her it is actually an old non-working laser pointer I found at work. I can get the little yellow light to come on, but the laser doesn't work. I am using it as a key chain because I got tired of having a big wad of keys bulging in my pocket when I rarely use more than my car key. This way, if she looks at it and sees the lens and happens to turn it on, it won't seem suspicious. So far it has worked out really well.

The battery only lasts about 45 minutes, so timing it is tricky. Also, I have bumped it on by accident and run down the battery. The nice thing is I got a car charger with it, so I can make sure it is charged in private.
