Ive recording her and making screenshots from VLC like you very kindly suggested
the only hassle is the screenshots are in a format not allowed by this site, and have to be save as .JPG son they can be upload, othe than that, its been great

haven't had problems with VLC snapshots ... you should be able to change the format via Tools -> Preferences -> Video -> Format within the video snapshots section
