Media Player Classic
I'd strongly recommend Media player classic. I just figured out that it has a function that captures whole vids automatically (see attached pic).
You just have to click:
File --> Save preview pics (I guess it's called so, i use the german version) --> save the pic
You can change the # of columns and lines and the pic size (will affect the number of pics in the preview).
Using this method will give an better overview about the movie
