Open real player 11 and at the top go to "Tools" click on it and then choose "Preferences" and at the bottom on the left is "Download and Recording" choose the file you want to save videos to. Then make sure the box is checked to Enable Download and Recording. That should do the trick. Once you go to a page with a video like Youtube, you can put your pointer over the video and a little real player bar will show up above video for you to record. Real cool feature.
