Honestly it is a mini fund drive so we can continue to afford to maintain this site for all of you who enjoy it.
Our IT bills and hosting costs have skyrocketed recently. Yet, we have only increased membership prices twice in the past 14 years.
When this site was first launched, it cost a few hundred dollars a month to run. Now it costs several thousand dollars a month.
I am steadfast against selling out and filling this great site with tons on popups and banner ads. I recently visited a few of the big free porn sites out there and every site had at least 4 ads per page and popups. Sometimes multiple popups on different pages. Then I clicked on some of the ads and it seemed like almost 1 out of 5 would tip my computer's virus warning.
I don't want this forum to be like that.
Please take a moment to realize the good thing we have going here.
If we were going to sell out, we should have done it years ago...
Right now our site really has only 1 paid advertisement. That's for
Beaver Webcams, which I personally verified and approved. In fact the live webcams shows really are free. You only need to pay if you want to tip the performers.
So how much longer will lurkers be locked out? Maybe 12 more hours... Maybe more 72 hours. It depends on how long it takes to meet our goals to make sure we will be able to continue to pay our bills. However, you can be proactive and do something today to change things.
