Shoe cammer jailed - But now you can build one yourself!
 

A guy has been jailed for making a shoe cam and filming upskirt vids.

Although this might sound like bad news, there is a good side. The people writing the article, included a gallery of detailed photos of the set up the guy used. By looking at this, you can build one too:

I can see a pinhole spy camera, placed inside a shoe. With a PVR (personal video recorder) and battery pack. The video camera would be for viewing the material onsite or possible extended recording.
Seems rather silly to say how bad this is and then show people how to do it.

They never said how he got caught. Seems like it would be hard to catch someone with that kind of set up. I mean it's one thing if you notice a guy who keeps setting a duffel bag down between women's legs, but this? I don't know. He must have been acting really obvious.

It has seemed to me that you could rip apart a "FlipVideo" pocket vidcam (http://www.theflip.com/products_flip_ultra.shtml) and adapt the components to a very concealable camera...

It seems voyeurism has been getting a lot of attention lately. Today in San Antonio, Texas, a man was arrestedfor using a bag cam in a park near a federal courthouse. He was released but law enforcement was checking to see if any laws were broken. There is a law against filming a person's "private parts" as it was said. Bystanders (women) were disgusted and felt the man should be locked up for a very long time. So much for civil rights! :mad:

I bet this tosser got cocky. 63 women in three days... WTF. He probably felt that his set up was undetectable but the problem is that he's wearing brand new shoes that have holes in them. Also, probably not a good idea to put a 1cm hole in the light colored part of a shoe. Bloke could've sprung for some black shoes and dirtied em up a bit before sticking his foot between all those pins.
