Can't leave or receive Visitor Messages
 

I must be doing something wrong. I can not leave Visitor Messages for people nor an anyone leave Visitor Messages for me. Any help?

Put your cursor in the white box and type. When you're done, click 'post message'.

Call me stupid, but I do not see a white box and when I go to messages for you for example, only options I have are Private Message or email

You just need to be a little more active here.
We limit the use of visitor messages and private messages of new users because so many SPAMMERS just create accounts to send SPAM to our members.
Once you have posted 2MB of attachments and received some "Thanks", you will be able to send visitor messages.

Good Rule. But this information should be easier to find.

Lost message
 

We've just had a problem with a private message.
Someone asked us some questions which we answered but the message doesn't send.
We are quite new on here but have put up a few posts and have much more than 2mb content.
The other user however has no content or posts, so could that be the problem?

I just checked into this and there should be nothing preventing you from sending or receiving private messages.
Are you still having trouble?

I've just sent a test message to some of our friends and it seems we still have the problem.
There is no record in our inbox or sent items folder of any of them.
Visitor messages seem to work fine.

Make sure that the "Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default" box is checked on this page:

Many thanks. I've done that and it seems to be working now.
I also had a reply from one of the friends I sent a test to although I still can't send to the original user. Maybe the problem was in "HIS" settings.
