Does Tor Still Work Here?

Hello Everyone

I was browsing yesterday with Tor, when the site went down for maintenance, and everything was fine a few moments later when it said it was back (browser was not closed). Now, I tried to use Tor, hit the new login, logged in (and was thanked), then the welcome screen came back on exactly the same. Hitting Login again did nothing, nor did turning scripts off and on again. It seemed to have me logged in, but would not show me that I had, and when I clicked on a random photo, it took me to a login screen again... which looped back to the original screen.

Curious... toddman

That wouldn't be surprising to me, as Tor is based on the most recent Firefox.

Thank you for your reply. :)

Not working on Tor

This isn't actually an issue with Tor browser, but the way that sessions are being handled.

Because we now log in over HTTPS, this then sets a cookie for handling your logged in "session", the cookie is being set over HTTPS but then the rest of site is being served over HTTP. By default there are a few browsers that won't honor the session from HTTPS over HTTP (because the session then becomes insecure / could be hijacked etc.)

To fix this issue, you need to disable "Automatic Secure Cookie Management", as per my attached screenshot.

But ideally the Admins would work towards serving the whole site over HTTPS.

Thanks for finding this fix, I was also wondering why this site hadn't worked for me the past few weeks.

Thank you very much.

Actually, I had been hoping a admin would actually reply to the message.

Once again, thank you. Most helpful.

Regards...
