Naive question

I'd like to post some pics of my wife but am concerned that one of our sons will spot her - they're adults and are bound to visit adult sites. I don't think smudging her face etc will help, because the photo backgrounds are all very recognisable, so I think it's an insoluble problem but no harm in asking if anyone has any suggestions from their experience.

If they know you and your wife are free and easy going, they probably won't worry. If they don't like it, tell them not to look.

Only you can know the answer to this but if it helps, just think of the worst case scenario and if you could live with it.

e.g. is your wife aware? one of you sons finds out, he tells your wife, how does she react? Prosecution for revenge porn? They tell other family members, how do they react? Divorce, being disinherited? Are they religious? Oh dear...

On the other hand, if the fallout is a bit of mild embarrasment, then so what.

Or the liklihood that nobody will ever know except all on OCC.

So all of the above and anything in between.

Your go......

Only you know your own circumstances. Only you can post the pictures. If you have her approval, there's not much problem. If she's your ex wife, then it's a pretty shitty thing to do when you have sons involved.
Your choice, when it comes down to it. We can't decide for you.

Two more things to keep in mind:

1. Just because you post pics ONLY on this site, do NOT think they will stay ONLY on this site. Pics do get passed around from site to site as people copy them and post them elsewhere.

2. Once they are posted, they are forever. That is to say, once they're on the internet, they are on the internet for keeps. If you change your mind and attempt to remove them, no matter how good a job you do of removing them, somebody, somewhere, will have copies.

Not trying to deter you from posting, just pointing out a few things to have in mind BEFORE you post.

Naive question

You and wife raised the children to be decent people. Sex and nudity always spurs basic curiosity. However reasonable good folks deny anything to do with it. Give me a break where do babies come from. People who browse do so hoping that they too remain anonymous. So I doubt they will call you out on it.

Metadata

Along the lines of finding out do any of you know if the photo metadata is stored with the picture once it is uploaded? The location data is pretty specific if someone wanted to identify the photo subject.
