Irfanview. Free, no bugs, no crapware, easy to figure out, and did I mention? It's hard to beat the price. ;D Seriously though, I just open a pic and then mess with the controls until I find out what does or doesn't work. After a while, you get to where you just know what you need to do.

What program do you use?

I love trying to fix them up too. Funny thing is, anyone could try this. The program I use is free with no bugs or attachment. I just try different settings until the pic looks better.
